I don't shoot often, but I did spend 21 years with a 1911 US Army pistol.
This pistol consumes all types of, ammo. However the Hornaday personal defense round 115 grains, seems to be it's favorite food.The hand position and optic site give s quick follow up shots.
low recoil, easy to hold on for the next shot. Great buy for the quality.

Dealing with Green Top was a pleasure. Once they had my FFL's information, the Walther PDP Compact was shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition. The PDP itself has met or exceeded every expectation. It's accurate and reliable and has a great trigger; light & crisp. I'm more than pleased with Green Top and the pistol.

Super Snappy Recoil

I bought this gun expecting to be thrilled.
Unfortunately the cons kind of outweighed the pros in my opinion. They have some great feature such as the grip texture, the pinky part on the mag well, and the trigger.
Unfortunately this is outweighed by the super thick slide, lack of concealability, plastic sights and most importantly the horrendously Snappy recoil. I'm a big shooter and an instructor, so I know how to grip the gun and I have shot a LOT of different guns.
I sold this one immediately because it just wasnt enjoyable to shoot. I have too many better, flatter shooting guns to keep one that isn't comfortable to shoot.
I even tried a steel guide rod with a 13 pound recoil spring and honestly didn't feel a difference in recoil impulse at all.
Great idea... Poor execution in my opinion.
