So, Let me start off by saying I bought this gun expecting a little more from Savage for the price. Lets be honest, you can buy any Savage rifle for this price. As soon as I received it I noticed the scope was loose. I then barely turned the side screw on the rings and it broke, upon releasing the other it also broke. "Snapped the screw inside of the bracket". I called Green Top and explained what happened. They were awesome and super helpful in getting me even better scope rings.
P.S. Be prepared, The trigger guard is also plastic. Be cautious.

Savage 17HMR gets 3 stars
Green Top get 5 for customer service.
