The DDM4 M4A1 RIS III is the newest addition to the Daniel Defense M4A1 family, and it is one of the most advanced rifles in the world. It is the result of years of development and innovation, and it is built to meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Chambered in 5.56mm, this rifle is built on the foundation of the legendary M4A1 platform that has served our military and law enforcement communities for decades.
The M4A1 RIS III features a 14.5-inch cold hammer-forged barrel, which is chrome-lined and has a 1:7 twist rate. This barrel is designed to deliver exceptional accuracy and long-term reliability.
The rifle features a free-floating handguard that is 12 inches long and has a modular design. This handguard is made of aircraft-grade aluminum and features M-LOK attachment points for easy customization.
The upper receiver is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum, which makes it extremely strong and lightweight. It is also mil-spec hard coat anodized for durability.
The lower receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and is also mil-spec hard coat anodized. It features a flared magazine well for easy reloading and an enhanced trigger guard for added comfort and control.
The M4A1 RIS III comes with a proprietary bolt carrier group that is machined from Carpenter 158 steel and is shot peened and magnetic particle inspected for strength and reliability.

Unlike the RIS II that features a quad-rail handguard, the RIS III has a free-floating handguard with M-LOK attachment points. The free-floating design of the RIS III handguard offers better accuracy potential and is more comfortable to hold than the quad-rail design of the RIS II. Additionally, the RIS III handguard is more modular, allowing for easy customization and the addition of accessories.
