Salesperson
Reports To: Manager of Retail Sales
Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Salesperson is to generate sales by creating for the customer a positive shopping experience through extension of a warm greeting, sharing of relevant knowledge and experience, and effective presentation of merchandise.
Essential Duties
- Ensures that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes quickly acknowledging every customer in a positive, personable manner
- Answers customers’ questions
- Guides customers to desired merchandise or connects them with more knowledgeable co-workers
- Maximizes opportunities to sell related merchandise and Gift Cards
- Handles customer purchases, returns, exchanges, merchandise credits, check authorizations, and discretion discounts (for example, price matches and employee sales)

Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Education and Member Services Coordinator is to assist with coordinating education services and growth of membership base.

Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Cashier is to complete the customer’s shopping experience at Green Top by efficiently and cordially concluding the sales transaction in the POS system.
Essential Duties
- Performs the work of a Web Customer Service Specialist as needed
- Utilizes telephone, email and chat to provide information to and resolve issues for online customers
- Prints new online orders, sorts them for picking and distributes them to departments
- Assists with pulling online firearm orders
- Assists with locating pick-up orders for customers
- Processes merchandise returns
- Submits and manages UPS claims
- Assists with Marketplace orders and communication
- Performs other duties as required or directed
- Evenings (until 7pm) and weekends required

Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Clerk is to receive, record, and place in designated area(s) all incoming merchandise.
Essential Duties
- Supervises and/or assists with unloading of incoming shipments of merchandise and other material
- Consults shipper’s documents to verify incoming shipment is intended for Green Top
- Compares packing list with received items to identify any missing items
- Reports missing and/or damaged items to Accounts Payable Clerk and/or Buyer
- Inputs received goods into computer system and forwards documents to Accounts Payable
- Moves received items to warehouse or other designated area
- Completes all required paperwork in a neat, careful and timely manner
- Maintains dock and other receiving department work areas in clean, organized and safe condition
- Operates and maintains hand truck, pallet jack and other material handling equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines
- Performs assigned cleaning and/or maintenance duties

Asset Protection Specialist
Job Summary
The primary responsibilities of the Asset Protection Specialist are to reduce profitability losses due to shoplifting, theft and vandalism, and contribute to a safe environment for employees and customers. All actions taken in executing these responsibilities are to be in compliance with the store’s Standard Operating Procedures, particularly those related to shoplifting and robbery.
Essential Duties
- Ensures that each Green Top customer is warmly greeted and respectfully treated both on arrival at the store and when departing
- Ensures customers locate desired merchandise by providing instructions or connecting them with knowledgeable co-workers
- Verifies firearms that are brought into store by customers are not loaded (see Firearm Clearing Protocol)
- Attaches daily tag to incoming firearms, bows, rods, reels and other customer property
- Checks outgoing firearms to verify they are customer property and, if just purchased, their serial numbers match the sales receipt or repair ticket
- Conducts walk-throughs on regular basis to monitor shoppers’ activity and identify any safety issues
- Confronts persons attempting to exit store with merchandise they have not purchased
- Assists Managers is detaining persons apprehended for shoplifting
- Cooperates with law enforcement personnel working the front door and/or responding to “9-1-1” calls from the store
- Files police reports and testifies in court in all cases brought to trial
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of store layout and merchandise locations
- Maintains thorough knowledge of store’s Emergency Response Plan
- Remedies or reports safety issues identified on store walk-throughs
- Assists in providing “asset protection” training for store employees

Digital Merchant
Job Summary
Conduct retail activities of business operating exclusively online. Will perform duties such as (1) gather product information from the Internet and format that information to comply with constraints imposed by internal and external systems and (2) daily add new and existing products and related categories to the e-Commerce platform.
Status: Full-time or Part-time available
Essential Duties
- Prepare and organize online storefront merchandise, including product descriptions, photography, and video for all items in related categories
- Enhance product titles, descriptions, categorization, and keywords to improve page rank and consumption to grow revenue
- Advise on strategy around taxonomy changes to ensure easy shop-ability for the customer
- Partner with team lead to create an annual online merchandising plan, tracking to and revamping plan when gaps exist
- Conduct competitive and consumer demographic analysis to expand and diversify assortment
- Maintain product information on Excel spreadsheets to be imported to Counter Point and/or e-Commerce platform
- Regular communication with team lead, department managers and buyers to gain a better understanding of the product assortment and enhance both new and existing items on the website

Lead Sales Clerk: Grilling

- Maintains vacation calendar for office staff
- Answers incoming calls and incoming visitors; extends a warm welcome to guests,

Job Summary
Shipping clerks are required to work in a fast pace environment while maintaining accuracy throughout the entire pick, pack, and ship process. The primary responsibilities of a Shipping Clerk are to (1) pull, pack, and ship merchandise placed through e-Commerce related channels (2) ship defective merchandise back to manufacturers and (3) ship firearms for transfer or repair.
