Bill joined the Green Top family during dove season of 1992. After working here for only a short while, he developed a passion for hunting and fishing, and went on to become the Green Top expert on trapping and food plots. Bill maintains a large plot of land in Southside Virginia where he experiments with planting food plots and trapping beavers, possums, raccoons, and groundhogs. Bill is happy to share tips on soil testing, planting and trapping.
When he’s not working to maintain food plots, Bill enjoys a wide range of hobbies. A fairly accomplished banjo and guitar player himself, you can find him in the audience at several Blue Grass events around town, as well as the annual Blue Grass festival at Graves Mountain. A lifelong Virginia resident, Bill takes advantage of the hunting and fishing opportunities the Commonwealth offers. He frequently takes his canoe to the Upper James in search of small mouth bass, and even has some whitewater experience. He also enjoys hunting for deer, turkey, crow and dove. Last but not least, Bill enjoys taking long road trips on his BMW 82 R100 RS motorcycle.
