Winchester Wads are designed for the proper rate of collapse. Reloaders seldom give wads the same critical attention given to other components. Often the result is poor performance - due entirely to the wad. Winchester Wads also form the right shape cup over the powder for proper obturation and cushion the initial shock, (designed to take the bite out of recoil). The Petal design protects the shot against flat-spotting, minimizes flyers in the pattern. For 1 to 1⅛ ounce loads but can be used anywhere 1 ounce was recommended.
